ٺƵ Health posts information about procurement opportunities for various construction projects, consulting, and allied goods and services. This includes, but is not limited to, projects required to rebuild our physical facilities after Superstorm Sandy.

Subcontractor Qualification Questionnaire

As needed, ٺƵ prequalifies the following trade subcontractors: MEP/FP, demolition, rigging, a subcontractor working with hazardous materials, and, on specific projects, other trade subcontractors as the PM may specify in the solicitation documents.

Request for Qualifications—General Contractors

ٺƵ is soliciting qualification packages for Master Agreements with general contractors interested in qualifying for numerous types of projects associated with Superstorm Sandy recovery, at different dollar levels, as well as for other general construction projects.

General contractors are needed for the following types of projects:

  • medical research facilities
  • medical offices
  • diagnostic and treatment rooms, including applicable medical equipment
  • acute patient care facilities, including overnight medicine, post-anesthesia care unit, intensive care unit, bone marrow transplant, transplant, urgent care, and emergency room
  • operating rooms
  • administrative offices
  • educational space, including lecture halls and classrooms
  • other general construction, including, but not limited to, institutional kitchen construction
  • plaza and landscape

Firms must demonstrate that they have:

  • experience working in a complex urban environment
  • significant experience with the types of construction for which the general contractor seeks qualification (see the types and dollar values of construction in the RED+F General Contractor Technical Qualification Questionnaire)
  • complex project implementation
  • strong management controls
  • sufficient financial resources to perform the work
  • good safety record
  • moral integrity

Interested firms may download the RFQ documents from the links below. General contractors must complete the registration form contained in the RFQ and submit the form via email to redfsolicitation@nyulangone.org to ensure receipt of all addenda. In addition, general contractors should review the Master Agreement and submit the Master Agreement Acknowledgement Form along with the registration form.

General contractors are required to submit a copy of the qualification package via email to redfsolicitation@nyulangone.org and one hard copy in a D-ring binder by mail to ٺƵ in accordance with the instructions in the RFQ.

ٺƵ will be accepting qualifications on an ongoing basis and general contractors may be qualified and be included in the rotation at any time. General contractors are encouraged to submit their qualifications as soon as possible.

Generally, ٺƵ plans to solicit bids for each project from the list of Master Agreement general contractors for various Superstorm Sandy projects, as well as for other construction projects. Not all construction projects will be solicited from this list, however, so please check this page regularly for additional requests.

ٺƵ reserves the right to request additional information as may be necessary to determine that a firm is qualified for a project.

Request for Qualifications—Construction Management At-Risk

ٺƵ is soliciting qualification packages for construction management firms interested in qualifying for construction management at-risk for various types of projects associated with Superstorm Sandy recovery, at varying dollar levels, as well as for other construction projects. 

At-risk construction management is needed for the following types of construction projects:

  • medical research facilities
  • medical offices
  • MEP infrastructure
  • diagnostic and treatment rooms, including applicable medical equipment
  • acute patient care facilities, including overnight medicine, post-anesthesia care unit, intensive care unit, bone marrow transplant, transplant, urgent care, and emergency room
  • operating rooms
  • administrative offices
  • educational space, including lecture halls and classrooms
  • other general construction, including, but not limited to, institutional kitchen construction
  • plaza and landscape

The evaluation criteria in order of importance are:

  • experience within a complex urban environment 
  • significant experience with construction management at-risk with the types of construction for which the construction manager seeks qualification (see the types and dollar values of construction in the RED+F Construction Manager Technical Qualification Questionnaire)
  • significant experience in managing complex projects for the types of construction for which the construction management firm seeks qualification
  • quality and content of the construction management firm’s standard subcontract
  • resources
  • safety record
  • moral integrity
