COVID-19 Recovery Care

Continued care and monitoring play an important role in the COVID-19 recovery process. While we are working to understand the long-term effects, people who have had COVID-19 may be at increased risk of lung, heart, and kidney conditions, as well as blood-clotting disorders and stroke. Our medical team ensures you receive specialized care and evaluation to support your recovery after COVID-19, whether you recovered at home or needed hospital care.

Care we provide includes the following:

• video doctor visits within 24 to 48 hours after people who received hospital care return home
• assessment and monitoring for at-home oxygen use
• referrals for rehabilitation care
• physical therapy services provided by our highly trained physical therapists who are part of �ٺ���Ƶ’s Rusk Rehabilitation
• follow-up imaging services and diagnostic testing to monitor your overall health

COVID-19 recovery care is coordinated by pulmonologist Dr. Rohan S. Mankikar and cardiologist Dr. Tagenarayan Niwaz. We also refer you to specialists as needed, including neurologists, hematologists, and nephrologists.

High-Risk Pregnancy Care

Our maternal–fetal medicine experts provide care for women experiencing high-risk pregnancies, monitoring your baby’s growth and providing treatment as needed. We offer three-dimensional and four-dimensional ultrasounds and the most advanced genetic and diagnostic testing, including amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling, and umbilical cord blood sampling. Through our fetal surgery program, we provide care for infants in the womb to limit the risk of birth defects and preterm labor. Deliveries take place at �ٺ���Ƶ Hospital—Long Island.

Treatment for Sleep Disorders

Our experts can help diagnose and manage conditions that make it difficult to get the sleep you need. These conditions include insomnia, narcolepsy, obstructive sleep apnea, restless leg syndrome, and other sleep disorders. We also provide sleep assessments and overnight sleep studies in one of the four private sleep rooms located at our Huntington facility.
