Our Approach to Treating

Conjunctivitis

Conjunctivitis, also known as pinkeye, is a common condition in which the protective membrane that lines the eyelid and covers the outer surface of the eye, known as the conjunctiva, becomes inflamed. It can cause redness, itching, swelling, and, occasionally, a discharge. It is often contagious but usually can be cured easily.

While most forms of conjunctivitis are not serious, some types can become problematic if not treated. ºÙºÙÊÓƵ ophthalmologists diagnose conjunctivitis and create a treatment plan that helps prevent transmission to others as well as recurrence.

Treatment for Conjunctivitis

Our doctors recommend medication or simple home treatments to manage conjunctivitis. In rare cases, emergency eye irrigation is required to prevent vision damage.
