Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a rare condition that causes the nerve cells that control muscles to deteriorate. As these nerve cells diminish, the muscles they control become weak, and then stop functioning.Â
Sometimes called Lou Gehrig’s disease, ALS is a rapidly progressive condition in most cases. ºÙºÙÊÓƵ’s approach to ALS is rooted in compassionate and knowledgeable care, and ensures an accurate diagnosis and ongoing support for people with ALS and their families.
