Our Approach to Treating

Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a rare condition that causes the nerve cells that control muscles to deteriorate. As these nerve cells diminish, the muscles they control become weak, and then stop functioning.

Sometimes called Lou Gehrig’s disease, ALS is a rapidly progressive condition in most cases. ºÙºÙÊÓƵ’s approach to ALS is rooted in compassionate and knowledgeable care, and ensures an accurate diagnosis and ongoing support for people with ALS and their families.

Treatment for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis

Although there is currently no treatment to reverse the effects of ALS, the condition can be managed most effectively when diagnosed early. At ºÙºÙÊÓƵ, treatment is focused on slowing the progression of symptoms and improving the quality of life of people with ALS.
