NYU Langone Health has opened a state-of-the-art, comprehensive Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center that brings together all elements of care for adult patients with Crohn鈥檚 disease and ulcerative colitis.
The newly designed 12,500-square-foot outpatient care center located at 305 East 33rd Street, has 9 exam rooms and a 6-bay infusion center, providing the capacity to care for more than 100 patients daily.
Inflammatory bowel disease, or IBD, is a condition in which there is chronic or recurring inflammation in the digestive tract, causing symptoms of abdominal pain, diarrhea, constipation, and fatigue. The two most common types of IBD are Crohn鈥檚 disease and ulcerative colitis.
