Recent Updates to Our Visitor Policies

To ensure a safe environment for children and families amid the COVID-19 pandemic, we have updated our visitor guidelines for all Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at ºÙºÙÊÓƵ locations. Please check for updates before each visit.

If your child has been admitted to one of our inpatient locations, up to six approved visitors, including parents, grandparents, guardians, family care partners, or other support people, are permitted to visit your child. Only two of these approved visitors may be with your child at the bedside at the same time. At least one support person must be an adult age 18 or older. Visitors under age 12 are not permitted. Our inpatient pediatric locations include Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital—34th Street and its Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Congenital Cardiovascular Care Unit, the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Tisch Hospital (NICU), and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at ºÙºÙÊÓƵ Hospital—Brooklyn,

Children coming to our emergency departments and those who are having same-day surgery or a procedure at one of our hospitals or ambulatory locations may be accompanied by two support people. At least one support person must be an adult age 18 or older.

At our outpatient locations, including doctor’s offices, children can be accompanied by two people. At least one support person must be an adult age 18 or older. Pediatric visitors accompanying pediatric patients do not count towards the two visitor maximum.
