I chose medicine as a career because I am fascinated by the human body and how it functions. I have always been interested in managing illness and making people feel better, and I enjoy being a doctor because it gives me an opportunity to help support patients and families through a difficult time in their lives.

As a neuro-oncologist at �ٺ���Ƶ’s Perlmutter Cancer Center at �ٺ���Ƶ Hospital—Long Island, I treat people who have primary and metastatic brain tumors, including glioblastoma. I also care for people who develop neurological complications due to cancer and cancer treatment, including the neurological effects of chemotherapy and immunotherapy.

Neuro-oncology is a highly specialized field. As a neuro-oncologist, I have the expertise required to manage brain tumors. I work with my patients at every step to develop an appropriate treatment plan. I also work closely with my colleagues in neurosurgery, radiation oncology, and medical oncology as part of a multidisciplinary care team. I take the time to understand what is important to my patients and focus on how I can best help maintain or improve their quality of life.

I provide my patients with knowledge regarding clinical trials offered at �ٺ���Ƶ so they can learn about the latest brain tumor treatments. I have participated in research involving palliative care and cancer care delivery. I am a member of the Society for Neuro-Oncology.
