My lifelong interest in the sciences prompted me to pursue a career in medicine. During medical school, I found the surgical subspecialties incredibly fascinating, and I quickly realized that the field of urology was my calling.

I see both men and women of all ages with a variety of urologic concerns. Some of the conditions I treat include complex voiding dysfunction, kidney stones, and cancers of the bladder, prostate, testes, and kidney. I have a particular interest in office-based minimally invasive benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH) procedures such as UroLift, the first permanent implant to treat symptoms due to BPH in men ages 50 or older. I have received the Urolift Center of Excellence status in recognition of my higher level of training and experience in this procedure.

I treat patients as an extension of my family. Our entire office works to deliver compassionate and expert care in a friendly environment. I focus on a holistic approach to care, including diet and behavioral and lifestyle modifications. I offer conservative measures, such as medical therapy, to relieve conditions. For patients who don’t respond to more-conservative treatments, I offer procedural or surgical interventions.

I am actively involved in bladder and prostate cancer research in addition to clinical trials evaluating new treatment modalities for bothersome lower urinary tract symptoms secondary to BPH.

I am a member of the American Medical Association and the American Urologic Association. I am proud to be recognized as a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a diplomate of the American Board of Urology.
