I’ve always been fascinated with the human body. When I was eight years old, I asked my dad for a copy of Gray’s Anatomy so I could practice drawing pictures of the brain. After college, I worked in a lab for Dr. Richard Axel, who won a Nobel Prize for his pioneering research in neuroscience. Because of this experience, I arrived at medical school wanting to specialize in neuroscience. Ultimately, I decided on a career in neurosurgery.

I treat people who have any kind of spinal condition, including neck and back pain, disc herniations, nerve pain, sciatica, spinal tumors, and spine trauma. I also perform brain surgery for conditions ranging from trauma to tumors.

Although I’m a surgeon, my philosophy is “less is more.” Whenever possible, I work with patients to develop a treatment plan that doesn’t require surgery. I might recommend incorporating yoga, Pilates, or meditation into someone’s care.

I’m able to offer my patients a lot of one-on-one time and individualized care. I love that I can provide them with the best treatments and minimally invasive procedures in the convenience of their own borough.

I am a board member of the New York State Neurological Society. Additionally, I have been named one of America’s top doctors by Castle Connolly five years in a row.
