About Me
As a clinical psychologist at ºÙºÙÊÓƵ, I approach the assessment and treatment of psychological disorders as a collaborative partnership. My extensive training in psychiatric diagnosis and treatment is complemented by the patient’s expertise in their own lived experience. Together, we work to identify the factors contributing to their distress and develop a thoughtful, individualized treatment plan. I find immense satisfaction in this collaborative process and am committed to fostering a strong, trusting relationship with each patient.
I specialize in treating adult attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, anxiety, and life transition-related distress, such as adjusting from military to civilian life or coping with new medical or psychiatric diagnoses. My treatments are grounded in therapies under the cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) umbrella. I am board-certified in CBT and hold certifications in written exposure therapy (WET), cognitive processing therapy (CPT), and CBT for insomnia (CBT-I). Additionally, I provide CBT for ADHD in both group and individual formats, ensuring a comprehensive approach to care.
Throughout my career, I have focused on serving veterans and their families, leveraging my expertise in trauma and military culture. At the ºÙºÙÊÓƵ Military Family Center, we are dedicated to offering expert care free of charge. My particular interest lies in assessing adult ADHD, especially in veterans and family members with trauma exposure or co-occurring conditions. This commitment to specialized care underscores our team’s unique strengths and innovations.
I am honored to have my community involvement recognized through the New York City and State Mental Health Power 50 List and to be named a distinguished fellow by the New York State Psychological Association. These accolades reflect my dedication to quality patient care and professional development, including founding the Division of Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry, helping to grow the Military Family Center and founding the training program there in 2015.
