As an associate professor in the Department of Medicine at NYU Grossman School of Medicine and the senior director for revenue cycle operations management at ºÙºÙÊÓƵ, I am dedicated to enhancing the quality of care and improving clinical revenue cycle operations. My role involves overseeing all clinical aspects of the revenue cycle, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and revenue optimization while aligning with clinical operations. I am passionate about patient-centered care and committed to ensuring the best outcomes for our patients and the health system.

I specialize in internal medicine, focusing on adult patients admitted to the hospital and the perioperative management of surgical patients. My extensive experience includes implementing system-wide initiatives to improve patient classification, clinical documentation, and margin improvement. I am honored to be a senior fellow of hospital medicine and serve as a director for Costs of Care, where we educate future medical leaders on creating a more affordable and equitable health system.

Throughout my career, I have led transformative initiatives that foster collaboration between finance, clinical, and operations departments to ensure appropriate reimbursement for the care we provide. My research has resulted in over 36 peer-reviewed publications, including a comprehensive study identifying COVID-19 risk factors. I have had the privilege of lecturing and collaborating with clinicians and researchers internationally, further enriching my research and clinical perspectives.

My journey into medicine followed a career in finance. I received my undergraduate degree in finance and accounting, earned my medical degree, and completed my residency in internal medicine, where I also served as chief medical resident. Educating medical students and trainees for over 12 years, I am dedicated to improving patient care through collaboration, innovation, and education.
