Certain neurological, neuromuscular, and genetic conditions can cause blockages in the airway and interfere with a child’s ability to inhale and exhale.
At our Pediatric Aerodigestive Center, part of Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital, a team of specialists collaborates to treat children with these conditions. Team members include pediatric pulmonologists; ear, nose, and throat specialists; surgeons; anesthesiologists; sleep specialists; and speech, swallowing, and feeding experts.
