NYU Langone Health has once again earned national recognition for its commitment to quality and patient safety, consistently earning an “A” on every Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade since the fall of 2020.

The top grade extends to Tisch Hospital and Kimmel Pavilion in Manhattan, �ٺ���Ƶ Hospital—Long Island, and �ٺ���Ƶ Hospital—Brooklyn, which remains the only hospital in the borough with an A rating. It is the eighth consecutive time these inpatient facilities have earned the highest safety score.

The Leapfrog Group, an independent national watchdog organization, publishes its safety scorecard twice every year, assigning A through F letter grades to eligible hospitals across the country. The grade is based on a hospital’s performance in preventing medical errors, injuries, accidents, infections, and other harms to patients. It was developed under the guidance of a national expert panel, using up to 30 national performance measures of publicly available hospital safety data.

�ٺ���Ƶ consistently earns top quality and safety scores from other national agencies, including being named the No. 1 hospital in the nation for quality and patient safety by Vizient Inc., appearing on U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Hospitals Honor Roll,” and earning five stars for safety, quality, and patient experience by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
