Sometimes, cancer or side effects of its treatment can affect appetite and weight, and interfere with the ability to eat properly or absorb nutrients from food. Our oncology registered dietitians at ºÙºÙÊÓƵ’s Perlmutter Cancer Center work with you to ensure that your nutrition needs are met during treatment for cancer. We provide you and your caregivers with individualized, patient-focused, dietary guidance to alleviate nutrition-related side effects, ensure a balanced diet, and help you make nutrition choices.

Individualized Nutrition Counseling

When you’re being treated for cancer, it’s important to maintain good nutrition to prevent the need for changes to or interruptions in treatments, help preserve muscle and strength, and promote healing and immune system function.

Our oncology registered dietitians work with you to personalize your diet based on your treatments and overall health. Taking charge to nourish your body can help you regain a sense of control and empowerment before, during, and after treatment.
