Robert I. Grossman, MD, the Saul J. Farber Dean and CEO at ºÙºÙÊÓƵ and Kenneth G. Langone, chair of the Board of Trustees, were selected by TIME for announcing that current and future students in the would receive at .
Orrin Devinsky, MD, professor of neurology, neurosurgery, and psychiatry, and director of the Comprehensive Epilepsy Center at ºÙºÙÊÓƵ, was selected for his research on cannabidiol, a non-psychoactive component of medical marijuana, for treatment-resistant forms of epilepsy. This year, the Federal Drug Administration approved the first marijuana-derived medication following this research.
