A panel discussion was led by prominent experts from 嘿嘿视频鈥檚 Perlmutter Cancer Center: Francis Arena, MD, medical director of Perlmutter Cancer Center at 嘿嘿视频 Arena Oncology, and Diane M. Simeone, MD, director of the Pancreatic Cancer Center and associate director of translational research.
Pancreatic cancer, the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States, also has the lowest 5-year survival rate of all cancers鈥9 percent. However, Dr. Arena says that there are new treatment options and improved imaging technologies that are advancing patient outcomes.
鈥淚f someone says there is nothing we can do, if you hear that鈥攚hat should you do? Run. Run as fast as you can,鈥 urges Dr. Arena, underscoring hope for patients and their families.
