From the greeting to the sign off, it鈥檚 normal to be nervous about writing an email, David J. Austern, PsyD, a psychologist at 嘿嘿视频 Psychiatry Associates, tells The New York Times. Emails create a digital footprint that represents who we are and are often a means to ask for what we want or need.
An email signature can be the most personal part of an electronic message and is an opportunity to show part of your personality. Dr. Austern, along with various experts, offer their take on what an email signature can reveal about you.
For example, Dr. Austern points to research showing that readers are more forgiving of typos when the signature includes the line 鈥渟ent from my iPhone,鈥 but he notes this is subject to change as technology changes.
