Likolani Arthurs spent 15 years dancing with the New York City Ballet. Now, she’s moving to a new stage: the operating room. Arthurs, a fourth-year at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, learned on Match Day she will continue her medical training at �ٺ���Ƶ Health with a . Her desire to make a tangible difference in people’s lives took her “from on pointe to on call.”

“I realized a lot of the things I love about ballet exist here,” Arthurs tells the New York Post on the parallels between medicine and dance. “I saw a lot of teamwork…a lot of creativity and artistry.” She went on to say the rush she got in the operating room and emergency department “was similar to what I felt on the stage during a live performance.”

Arthurs is excited to launch the next part of her career at �ٺ���Ƶ.

“�ٺ���Ƶ really spoke to me because it’s so focused on innovation and constantly trying to improve itself,” Arthurs says. “I wanted to be on, like, the forefront of everything possible.”
