The 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has created a new paradigm in hospital care since the pandemic gripped the world and New York City. Elizabeth Douglas, RN, nurse manager of the surgical intensive care unit (ICU), neuroscience ICU, and the critical care float team at ٺƵ Hospital—Brooklyn, shares her experience so far on LIVE with Kelly and Ryan.
“We’re constantly making plans and figuring out where to put patients and where to put staff, and how to make it all work together,” she tells Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest. “And then something happens, and we make a new plan.”
