A new study shows that women who frequently use hair straighteners are 2.5 times more likely to develop endometrial cancer, also called uterine cancer. 鈥淥ne of the reasons uterine cancer is rising is the epidemic of obesity,鈥 says Dr. Chalas, also a professor in the at NYU Long Island School of Medicine. 鈥淥besity and lack of physical activity are definitely two modifiable risk factors that our society can do something about.鈥
