People with metastatic breast cancer often receive a series of treatments, but for those with tumors that carry a mutation in the Her2 gene, a new treatment called Enhertu庐 shows promise. I鈥橯uasia Russell, a woman with breast cancer who was treated by Sylvia Adams, MD, professor in the and director of the Breast Cancer Center at 嘿嘿视频 Health鈥檚 Perlmutter Cancer Center, tells her story to ABC7NY.
鈥淲e found a Her2 mutation in her tumor, an abnormality. And that鈥檚 when she started to benefit from all these enormous new advances in the treatment for metastatic Her2-positive breast cancer,鈥 Dr. Adams says. 鈥淪he鈥檚 been doing fantastic. Her scans show that the tumor is shrinking very nicely from fist-sized tumors, now half in size.鈥
