Welcome to the

Pediatric Sleep Disorders Program

We manage the conditions that make it difficult for your child to get the sleep he or she needs.

Experts in the Pediatric Sleep Disorders Program, part of Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at ºÙºÙÊÓƵ, provide specialized treatment for sleep disorders in infants, children, and teenagers.

Our team of pediatric neurology and pulmonary sleep specialists helps diagnose and manage obstructive sleep apnea; behavioral insomnia in infancy and childhood; excessive daytime sleepiness; narcolepsy; pediatric restless legs syndrome; sleepy teenagers, also known as delayed sleep phase syndrome; nocturnal events, including seizures, night terrors, sleepwalking, and nightmares; teeth grinding; and nocturnal enuresis, known as bedwetting.

  • continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) and bi-level positive airway pressure (bi-PAP) titration studies for obstructive sleep apnea in children ranging from infants to teenagers
  • evaluation of complex events in sleep at night, such as seizures versus parasomnia, also known as night terrors
  • multiple sleep latency test (MSLT) to measure how quickly your child falls asleep, so as to assess the degree of daytime sleepiness
  • maintenance of wakefulness test (MWT) to determine your child’s ability to stay awake during the day, a measure of success of the current treatment

Our patients are clinically evaluated at the pediatric sleep clinic at ºÙºÙÊÓƵ’s Comprehensive Epilepsy Center.
